Star Coaches of Batley began in 1982 when it was founded by Ebrahim Dabhad and the late Sabera Dabhad.
The business commenced when a local contract was secured to provide staff transport services for factory workers in a local garments factory. Subsequent to this a number of local authority educational contracts were secured which enabled investment and growth in the business.
The founding principles that were laid down by the founder was to have a reliable well maintained and clean fleet of vehicles to transport customers to their destination. Whilst, the key to the early success and growth of the business was to employ loyal and reliable drivers who would enhance the reputation of the business.
In 2002, Imran (the current owner and the son of the founder) took full control of the family business, which through the hard work of his parents was now well established. Imran had from a young age always been involved with the business and had grown up cleaning and washing the minibuses and coaches along with driving them. Now with the business in the safe hands of the second generation, Imran has been working hard in implementing his vision and strategy to take the business forward that was successfully established through the hard work of his parents.
The business has now come a long way from the one Transit minibus that was operated from home in the 1980s. After having operated from their original base for over 30 years Star Coaches of Batley now operate from a 2-acre site where a purpose built state of the art garage and head office is currently being built. The business has now grown to a fleet over 18 vehicles with a good mixture of Luxury and Executive coaches and minibuses, there are over 20 drivers employed with 5 Office and Operational staff.
Our core family values and loyal staff continue to drive the business forward and the key founding principles remain the same.
